This Month Is About Resurrection Power
This month, we are embracing Resurrection Power — the power that renews, restores, and transforms our lives through Christ. In Week 1: Raised to New Life, we begin by leaving behind old mindsets and stepping into the new life God has given us. In Week 2: Breaking Free, we focus on releasing the chains of fear, doubt, and past mistakes that try to hold us back. In Week 3: Hope Reborn, we allow God to restore our hearts and renew our faith, even in the places that once felt broken. Finally, in Week 4: Walking in Newness, we move forward with confidence, living daily in the transformation God has begun. This month is a reminder that resurrection power is not just something we celebrate — it’s something we live.
Hope Reborn
God restores hope in difficult seasons and renews our faith for the future.
Scripture
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Devotional Thought
People need hope to navigate adversity, maintain mental health, and actively create a better future. Hope acts as a vital motivator for resilience, especially during difficult seasons of life.
Hope is often born in those hard seasons when all we can do is pray and trust that God hears us. As Christians, we hope for many things. We hope our children will be okay and turn to God. We hope our marriages survive another difficult moment. We hope our spouses grow in faith. We hope we have enough provision to sustain our families in trying times.
Sometimes hope is compared to making a wish upon a star. Have you ever been to the mall and thrown a coin into a wishing fountain, hoping your wish would come true? While that may seem similar, biblical hope is very different. Hope is not a wish or uncertainty. Hope is a confident, joyful expectation and firm assurance in God’s promises, rooted in Jesus Christ.
Hope allows us to wait — and wait well — in trying seasons. It renews our minds and helps break us free from old habits and negative thinking. When I think of hope, I think of a better future for my children and grandchildren. Hope is believing that even in the most difficult situations, God can produce something good if we focus on the lessons rather than the trials.
Hope is also rooted in trust. When we trust God, we begin to believe He can restore anything that has been lost. That belief strengthens our faith. I wake up each day with faith that today will be better than yesterday and that I will be better than I was the day before.
As little girls, we often hope for beautiful homes, successful careers, and loving marriages. But what happens when those dreams seem delayed? When the house doesn’t come, Prince Charming seems late, and your career feels stalled while everyone else appears to move forward?
That is when hope must be reborn.
That is when we place our hope in God and remember His promises. Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that faith is “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Our hope grows out of our faith in God and His ability to keep His promises.
Placing our hope in people or circumstances often leads to disappointment. But when we place our hope in God, we align our desires with His purpose. Hope reborn reminds us that God is still working, still restoring, and still writing our story.
Even now, hope is being reborn in your life.
Reflection
Where do you need hope to be reborn in your life today?
Weekly Challenge
This week, identify one area where you have lost hope.
Ask yourself:
- Where have I grown discouraged?
- Where do I need to trust God again?
- What promise of God can I hold onto?
Write it down.
Then choose one way each day to renew your hope:
- Pray intentionally
- Speak positive truth
- Read scripture
- Take one small step forward
Hope is reborn when we choose faith over fear.
Prayer
Lord,
Thank You for being the God of hope. When I feel discouraged, remind me that You are still working. Help me trust Your timing and Your promises. Renew my faith and restore the hope I may have lost. Teach me to wait well and believe that You are creating a better future for me. Strengthen my heart, renew my mind, and help me walk forward in hope.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
