🪻 Releasing what was so you can receive what God is preparing.

📖Scripture
Isaiah 43:18–19 (NIV)
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
✨Devotional Thought
Transition often begins with an ending. God frequently asks us to release what is familiar before revealing what comes next. Whether it is a season, a relationship, a dream, or an old way of thinking, holding tightly to the past can prevent us from embracing the future He has prepared. Letting go is rarely easy, but it is often the first step of obedience.
Throughout Scripture, God’s people experienced new beginnings only after they were willing to leave something behind. Abraham left his homeland. Ruth left Moab. The disciples left their nets to follow Jesus. Their willingness to surrender opened the door to God’s greater purpose. The same is true for us. Empty hands are prepared hands.
Ask God to reveal anything you are clinging to out of fear instead of faith. Trust that whatever He asks you to release, He is faithful to replace with something that draws you closer to Him. Every act of surrender creates room for His promises to unfold.
✍🏽Challenge
Spend time in prayer asking God to reveal anything you are holding onto that is keeping you from moving forward. Write it in your journal and surrender it to Him. Throughout the week, intentionally replace fear with faith by taking one step of obedience toward the new season God is leading you into.
🙏🏽Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Help me release what You have asked me to leave behind. Give me the courage to trust Your plans more than my own comfort. Open my heart to the new thing You are doing, and help me walk forward in faith, knowing You are leading every step.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
