🪻 Trusting God’s faithfulness when life takes an unexpected turn.

✨Devotional Thought

Some transitions are planned, while others arrive without warning. A difficult diagnosis, the loss of a loved one, financial hardship, or a sudden change in direction can leave us questioning everything we thought we knew. Although unexpected circumstances may surprise us, they never surprise God. He is already present in the future we cannot yet see.

Job understood what it meant to experience overwhelming change. In a short time, he lost his family, his wealth, and his health. Yet even in the middle of unimaginable suffering, God never abandoned him. When we cannot understand our circumstances, we can still trust God’s character. His faithfulness is not determined by how we feel but by who He is.

If your life has taken an unexpected turn, remember that God is still writing your story. He is able to bring purpose from pain, hope from disappointment, and beauty from seasons you never would have chosen. Trust Him one step at a time.

Each evening, write down one way you saw God’s faithfulness during the day—even if it seemed small. Let your journal become a testimony that God is still working, even in uncertain seasons.

Dear Heavenly Father,

When life changes in ways I never expected, remind me that nothing catches You by surprise. Help me trust that You are working all things together for my good and Your glory. Strengthen my faith and give me peace in the unknown.
