Mothers of Faith

🪻 Trusting God with the story still unfolding.

📖Scripture

Proverbs 22:6
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

✨Devotional Thought

Being a mother requires faith—especially as your children grow. You want to give them space and privacy, yet still protect them. You want them to make the right decisions, but you begin to realize that your “right” decisions may not be the path God has for their lives. There are seasons—especially in the teenage years—when you may not like their behavior, even though you never stop loving them. Yet, as they grow into adulthood, something shifts. You begin to see the individuals they are becoming. Sometimes they amaze you. You recognize parts of yourself or the other parent in them. Other times, you wonder where certain traits came from—but even then, you see God shaping something uniquely theirs. Faith reminds you that God is writing their story too.

✍🏽Challenge

This week, release one fear or worry you carry about your child and place it before God in prayer.

Instead of trying to control every outcome, intentionally choose trust. Speak life over your child daily—even in the areas where you do not yet see growth.

🙏🏽Prayer

Father God,
Thank You for the children You have entrusted to me. As they grow, help me to lead them with wisdom, love, and grace—not fear or control. Teach me to trust that You are writing their story even when I do not understand every chapter. Give me peace in the waiting, patience in the growing seasons, and faith to believe that Your hand is guiding them even when mine cannot. Let my words build them, my prayers cover them, and my love reflect You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
