“Write the vision and make it plain… Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”
Motivational speaker Les Brown famously stated, âThe graveyard is the richest place on earth.â Why? Because so many people have the vision to do great things but lack the faith to step out and do them.
Vision is simply the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination and wisdom. But the Bible reminds us that faith without works is dead. That means real, living faith is not just beliefâit must be supported by action.
You may believe you can accomplish something, but if you never take even one step toward it, do you really have faith? Many people say they want to start a business, go back to school, or break generational cycles. Yet they create excuse after excuse for why it isnât happening. They claim they donât have enough money, education, or timeâbut truthfully, many are simply scared because they lack faith.
Others have all the faith in the world and are fully convinced God will come through, but they become easily distracted or prefer shortcuts over real work. But you need both faith and work to experience meaningful and sustainable success. It all starts with having a vision.
Lay out your vision, pray over it, and release it to God with full confidence that it will not return void. You can create endless plans and daydream as much as you want, but without the faith to step forwardâregardless of who supports you, who doubts you, or whether you can see the endâyou will stay stuck.
Your vision becomes reality by crossing the gap called faith.
So whether youâre the first in your family to do it, or you have no idea how God will bring it to pass, remember this:
You must have a clear vision for what you desireâand unwavering faith that it will happen.
âđ˝Challenge
Write down one vision God has placed on your heart that you have been delaying out of fear, doubt, or excuses.
Then write one action step you will take this week to move toward it.
Pray over it daily and tell God, âI trust You enough to move.â
đđ˝Prayer
Father, thank You for the visions You have placed within me. Help me not to sit on dreams that You have breathed into my spirit. Give me the courage to take steps of faith, even when I cannot see the whole path. Strengthen my trust in You, remove every excuse, and silence every fear. Align my vision with Your will and let my actions reflect my belief in Your power. Lord, let my faith and my works partner together so that everything You have purposed for me will come to pass. In Jesusâ name, Amen.
