đŞťGod didnât just save you â He raised you to live differently.

đScripture
Romans 6:4
“We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead⌠we too may live a new life.”
â¨Devotional Thought
Every evening before I go to bed, as part of my prayers, I ask God that while I am sleeping, He would not only give me rest, but restoration, rejuvenation, and reconciliation. I want God to work on my heart while I am in a state of rest so that when I awaken by His grace the next day, I may be reconciled back to Him.
To be reconciled back to God means the restoration of a broken relationship between God and humanity to a state of peace and harmony â achieved entirely through the work of Jesus Christ. The work that Jesus did on the cross when He died for our sins. But Jesus didnât just die to rise again â He died to transform us.
For us, this means daily transformation. A renewed lifestyle. One where Jesus is the source of our strength and we abide in Him daily. Resurrection power is active, not passive. It is not a one-and-done moment. It is something we walk in every single day.
For many of us, this means we are going to have to leave some things behind as we move into our new lives. Because we cannot stay in places where God has delivered us from. Old habits, relationships, and patterns of life must change â and this requires discipline. A new life requires a new mindset and a new outlook on what God can do in your life.
You canât think like the old you and expect to live like the new you.
You have to pray daily to break the chains and the bondage that had you wrapped up in your old life. Put your past mistakes, shame, and guilt behind you. Walk forward in freedom.
Recently, I attended an event with several authors, and one author shared something that stayed with me. She said that she gives all of her characters one lie they believe about themselves â a lie that influences their actions and decisions throughout the story. She then added that many of us also carry one lie, often from childhood, that shapes how we see ourselves and how we move through life.
I sat with that later and realized I had believed a lie about myself â one that had become so tangled in my life that I didnât even realize how deeply it had shaped my thinking. And I understood that part of being raised to new life meant untangling that lie and replacing it with Godâs truth.
Unlearn the lie you have believed about yourself.
Embrace the new assignments God is giving you â even if you feel scared. Choose to be intentional daily and walk with purpose. Resurrection is not just about survival â itâs about assignment.
God didnât raise you just to feel better.
He raised you to do better and be different.
You have been raised to new life. Now walk in it.
âđ˝Challenge
Identify one old mindset, habit, or lie youâve believed about yourself â and replace it with Godâs truth this week.
đđ˝Prayer
Lord, thank You for raising me to new life. Help me release what no longer belongs in this new season. Renew my mind, restore my heart, and strengthen my walk with You. Break every chain that keeps me tied to my past, and help me embrace the new life You have given me. Teach me to walk daily in resurrection power. In Jesusâ name, Amen.
