đŞťLearning to stop seeking completion in people and rest in the fullness God has already given us.

đScripture
Colossians 2:10 (NKJV)
“and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”
â¨Devotional Thought
A lot of us equate wholeness and being complete with being in a relationship. But the truth is that wholeness begins within yourself because you have a relationship with God. No person on earth can make you whole. Wholeness is about discovering who you are, understanding your needs and desires, and allowing God to shape and fulfill them.
If we continue seeking wholeness in someone else, we will always chase the approval and validation of others. And when those people eventually let us downâas all humans doâwe begin to feel less than again. The cycle repeats itself.
Sometimes wholeness requires withdrawal. We must retreat, pull away, and do the inner work. We must learn ourselves, understand ourselves, and sit with God long enough to see who we truly are. Until we do that, it becomes difficult to recognize just how whole and complete we already are in Him. Many of us have spent so much time relying on others to meet our needs, fix our feelings, and make us happy, when the truth is that wholeness was inside us all alongâplaced there by God.
Unfortunately, many people donât discover this until they feel abandoned, isolated, or forced to clean up the messes created by relying too heavily on others. The world tells us that wholeness is found in clothes, degrees, titles, and especially relationshipsâmarriage in particular. But in reality, two whole people should come together in marriage, not two broken ones. Marriage does not complete you; it complements you.
True wholeness looks like healing, surrendering, and resting in the One who created you.
âđ˝Challenge
Spend intentional time alone with God this week. Choose one day to unplug from social media and outside voices, and ask the Holy Spirit to show you areas where youâve been looking to people for wholeness instead of Him. Journal what He reveals and write one action step you will take toward becoming whole in Christ.
đđ˝Prayer
Father, Thank You for reminding me that wholeness comes from You alone. Help me release every place where Iâve depended on others to validate me, complete me, or define me. Heal the broken spaces within me and restore the parts of my heart that have been scattered. Teach me to rest in Your presence, trust Your timing, and see myself through Your eyes. Make me whole, Lordâfully, completely, and confidently rooted in You. In Jesusâ name, Amen.
